Bam Bam Runs Through Fire To Save Children

Editor, IGN Wrestling On last night’s WCW Reload Post Nitro show, news broke that Bam Bam Bigelow was seriously injured after attempting to rescue children from a brush fire. Over 40 percent of his body was burned. Not much else is known about the situation, but it can be assumed that the noble “Beast from the East” will be out of action for a while. IGN Wrestling will provide an update as more information becomes available. After the injured Chris Candido was told that his services would no longer be needed in WCW, the newly reformed Triple Threat (with Bigelow, Candido, and Shane Douglas) vanished as quickly as it began. Damn, I’d forgotten about this, guy was tough AF.
He was incredibly gifted in the ring, super agile for a big guy… I recall seeing him for the first time watching a Saturday afternoon WWF program and doing a double take of him cartwheeling away from his opponent.
