James McCune Smith
James McCune Smith (18 april 1813 – 17 november 1865) was een Afro‑Amerikaanse arts, apotheker, abolitionist en auteur in New York City. Hij was de eerste Afro‑Amerikaan die een medische graad behaalde en studeerde als eerste in zijn klas aan de Universiteit van Glasgow in Schotland.
