Kyrgyzstan is far from everywhere, it seems, including the ocean.
When you picture the country furthest from any ocean, you might well imagine somewhere dry and uninteresting, comprised of arid desert and not much else. You’d be wrong. The country furthest from any ocean is actually Kyrgyzstan, famous for its scenery: dramatic mountains, rich valleys, and serene lakes. Everything southern Russia and northern Afghanistan seems like from a different world to me.
Some people go their whole lives never seeing an ocean.
I bet people still decorate their homes with tacky signage saying:
Life’s a Beach
Don’t order the fish on Wednesday.
They also have inferior potassium
Do they have a Navy?
Okay, but where is the most land locked place? Where is the furthest point from any ocean?
I would think that Uzbekistan is the most landlocked country. It is the only landlocked country that is completely surrounded by landlocked countries.
Edit: Liechtenstein is also doubly landlocked.
